This service sits under Core Supports: Assistance with Daily Life in your NDIS plan. It's available to participants whose disability directly affects their ability to carry out ordinary household tasks on their own.
Support workers assist with — or carry out — household tasks where your disability prevents you from doing them independently or safely.
Support is flexible: from a few hours per week to daily visits — scheduled around your routine and lifestyle.
The focus is always on building your confidence and skills, not creating dependency — so you remain in control of your home and life.
Available for people living independently, in supported accommodation, with family, or in shared housing arrangements.

Household task support is available to NDIS participants whose disability creates barriers to maintaining their home. It may suit you if you have:
A Physical Disability

A Cognitive or Intellectual Disability
Difficulty with planning, task sequencing, or executive function that affects your ability to manage household routines.
A Psychosocial Disability

A Sensory Disability
Vision or hearing impairment that creates practical challenges with safely managing household appliances and tasks.

How Is This Funded?
Household Task support is funded under your NDIS plan's Core Supports budget — Assistance with Daily Life. This is one of the most flexible NDIS budgets, meaning you have significant control over how it's used.
NDIS line item: 01_011_0107_1_1 — Assistance with Daily Life (Household Tasks)
Flexible usage: Your Core budget can also be used for other supports — household tasks don't need a dedicated line.
Plan management: Whether self-managed, plan-managed, or NDIA-managed, we accept all funding types.
